TDA 2030 IC | 40Watt | Amplifier Making

Here is a simple diagram I am showing and I am explaining everything about this circuit.

Components:

  • 223J Capacitor
  • 47uF Capacitor
  • 2.2uF Capacitor
  • 10Ω Resistor
  • 33Ω Resistor
  • 22kΩ Resistor
  • 330Ω Resistor
  • 10kΩ Resistor
  • 3Amp Diode
  • 25v 1000uF Capacitor
  • 12-0-12 Transformer
  • Heatsink

Power Supply

1st, we have to look at the required power supply for this project. 1st of all take 4 diodes and make a bridge like a full bridge rectifier. 
Here it is. Now connect the capacitors like the diagram. and leave 3 wires, 
  • +12v
  • 0
  • -12v
This dual power amplifier will be necessary. 
You can use an SMPS power supply or 12-0-12 transformer for this project. Instead of diode you can also use a full bridge rectifier. and for better output, you can add an LC filter with it. 
I recommend you to use the bigger value of capacitance for better output.

The IC

Here is the TDA 2030 IC. It is a 5-pin IC that needs a heatsink. It is a great amplifier IC commonly used in Home Theater. 
According to their datasheet, this ic can handle up to 20 watts of power. If you are using a branded IC for your project then it will out more efficient but if you are using any cheap or local product then you need to use a large heatsink for this IC with its maximum power.

Now lets see the input section of this circuit where low power audio signal will be added. 



This is the Input section, Here you can directly add a 3.5mm audio jack or soket or you can use a potentiometer for adjust the volume.

Here is the diagram How you can add a Potentiometer . I recommend 10KΩ potentiometer for better result.

This IC has a high gain so you have to adjust it`s gain otherwise you did not get a clear sound. your sound will distorted. So use all recommended components for better sound experience. 
In this circuit you will notice There is a 223J capacitor and a 33Ω Resistance is in parallel this is for reduce the high frequency hummng noice from the output. 

I will Recomend a single power supply circuit for this TDA2030 ic. So you can make it properly.

Use those Circuit and never forget to add a proper headsink with the ic,
